Ankheg shells galore!

Post by wise grimwald »

I have just cleared the Ankheg lair. I carried the shells to the surface one at a time, but every time I went back down the shells were still there. I therefore got 32 Ankheg shells, the maximum that my two character party could carry. I am wondering is this a bug or just a corrupted file? It certainly helped my finances as having killed Drizzt, my reputation was quite low. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. As my rep is low, I am thinking of using the money to raise my rep at a temple. This is the first time that I have played with a low rep and I am wondering how much it costs to raise it. As I am playing no-reloads, I don't want to do it by trial and error.

Raising Rep at a temple is the first thing I do after Killing Drizzt. Its relatively cheap from about7-15 any where above or below gets costly. There is a merchant who will buy all the Shells but I can't remember where.
:) Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL :)

Thanks for advice. As my rep is now 15 just before the bandit camp, I guess I'll just have to raise it 1 and then do it the hard way. I sold the shells in Beregost, one at a time at 500gp each. if you sell them in BG, you only get half price. Fortunately I was not waylaid in transit as carrying that sort of weight it would have been curtains for me.
