Obtaining Mithril/Elven/Glass Armors Help

Post by Berethor »

First off, I'd like people to know that I'm playng Oblivion on my Xbox 360, not PC, so I can't use Console Cheats, Mods, Patches, and other...stuff.

My dillema is that I have been stuck with this Chainmail armor that I obtained in the Kvatch Oblivion Gate for quite a while. Mind you, I haven't done any of the main quest since then, but I think that's irrelevant.

What I would like to do is replace my Chainmail armor with Mithril, Elven, or Glass armor sometime soon. I already have the Fin Gleam, and I assume that it's Glass by it's appearance. Since I found the Fin Gleam, I also assume that there is at least some more Glass available at my current level of 6, and possibly even Elven or Mithril. I just can't seem to find any.

If someone could help me locate a set of either one of the armors, it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

At level six, not really, no. Your best bet is to traverse the sewers, for all the bandits and vampires (very VERY weak vampire... but I was level 17 then so...) or sign up as a gladiator in the arena for easy leveling, which will give bandits better light armor, mainly elven and glass, while the ones in the sewers, elven and mithril.

Mithril: found from lvl 10 at NPC's such as Marauders and Bandits.
Elven: Shield found from level 10, rest found from lvl 15. Also from Marauders, Bandits etc.
Glass: Found from lvl 20. Also from Marauders, Bandits, etc.

Spoiler(highlight to read):

If you're level 17+, you can do the daedric Boethia Quest. If you do this at lvl 25+, they will drop mithril, elven and glass, and sometimes enchanted too.

Alright then, I'm level 9 now. Is Mithril Armor better than the Raiment of Valor I got from becoming Grand-Master of the Arena in terms of defense?

Just above the Imperial City in the red ring road there is the roxey inn. Inside there are 3 people, 1 with full glass armor, 1 with an enchanted glass armor and 1 with full deadric armor. I'm not sure at which level they appear but I should go there and look...

It is useless, because it is a 1 part suit. But it does have some enchantments that can make it usefull. But a armor that you enchanted all by yourself is more usefull. Off course you can always use it to show off when your friends want to see your game or something like that... But I shouldn't use it as your standard armor.

Basicly you should just go around killing things and completing quests until you grow levels - when you grow levels you will be able to get loads more items.

I know how to get a lot of good stuff but it envolves a lot of spoilers so send me a message if you want to know.
