SYM Most Loveable/Romantic Male Member Do we have any? :D

SYM Best Couples Needs thought

That's what I need. If it isn't "Best Couple" with BS, then I get his supposed title of Lurker Extraordinaire. :p

I'm going to have to think on my noms. :)

Just logging in to mention good luck to you, Kipi, on handling the rewards this year. Don't burn yourself out, working anything with a voting system is a pain. :o

And the year before, and the year before that, and even before the nomination existed. :) Some things will never change, will they?

Does he fit the bill? Can't say he does. He did do some posting here, after all. ;)

Okay, one clarification to everybody...

At this moment, you will only send me the names of those who should be in the final awards. So we are only looking for nominaties, and actual voting starts later (probably in February...)

just decided to post this clarify, basing to the PM I've got... ;) :D

HEY! I got nominated! Thanks, Wenchie! I try my best. ;)

I seriously didn't know about this thing. Is there a thread somewhere documenting previous winners? I couldn't find any. Oh, and what is the prize for/of winning? A free one-year supply of Spam? A pirated copy of Dungeons & Dragons - The Movie? A thread that goes to 2000? A title? A signed copy of "Sean The Owner's Travel Guide for Dummies?" :D

While I'm waiting for the inevitable debate between Fable, VonDondu and Dowaco on how this vote and voting system is flawed and why nobody should vote because it doesn't help anyway, I might as well put my foot in the way of my tonsils again:

Member Awards :
SYM Most Helpful Member:
Xandax. Short, mostly diplomatic and to the point. Usually doesn't ignore newbies, and disturbingly level-headed.

SYM Funniest Member:
Sean The Owner. Remarkably lacking in pretensions, constantly having me rolling on the floor and able to take the flak for it. Why? Oh, who cares!

SYM Most Loveable/Romantic Female Member
Dragon Wench. As important to SYM as RAM is to gamers.

SYM Most Loveable/Romantic Male Member
Hmmmmmm, have to ponder this for a while...

SYM Best Couples
BG 1&2. Honestly, I'm not so up to date on the "scene" that I know who's shacking up with who. EDIT: C Elegans and Silur.

Lurker of the Year:
Impossible to say for sure. If it's a registered member I have no clue, if not it's probably my wife. EDIT: Coot.

Spammer of the Year
I have no idea.

Most Perverted Member:
That's the power of SYM, isn't it? Everyone becomes a pervert once they get into this thing.:mischief: My nomination must be Fable, because he's so subtle about it. ;)

Thread Awards :
SYM Thread of The Year
Fable's Q&A on Classical Music. Informative, long lived, and a joy to read. No hogwash allowed, and the critters bail out by themselves after one look.

SYM Best Tavern
No clue.

Misc. Awards :
SYM Best Avatar
Magrus. His current avatar suits his personality perfectly! :D

SYM Best Location
Ponders...

Most stupid thing said in SYM
This is a walkover for me. I was away for six months, and was welcomed back by Chimaera182 saying, on the demise of former South African leader Botha:

"Yeah, wing, I'm with you. I have no idea who or what the heck that is. Was. But I'm far too lazy to look up this insignificant and obviously deceased person."

ROTFLMAO!

Special Awards :
SYM Rookie The Year
I don't know... EDIT: Galraen.

SYM Lifetime Achievement Award
Took the liberty of editing this to "Lifetime" and will nominate VonDondu.

That's it, folks. I'll be here all g.. err.. Week.

Okay, few more days to give your nominaties, if you haven't done so already! The time limit will be 1st of February, so few days left...

Also, all the nominaties which were referring to the "post limit" -accident and problems followed by that aren't counted, as I don't want to rise any angry feelings in this ceremony. So, those of you who have nominated things related to that event, please post new ones if you want.

Basically, the nominates relating to that event went to category of "Most stupid thing said in SYM"...

oh, and you can post them here as well as pming me, it's not so big deal to me...

OK, I'm so fresh in the forum that most probably i'm not entitled to vote.
Nevertheless, I feel obliged to do so. (and it's for one category only)

Member Awards :
SYM Most Helpful Member: VonDondu

She's been sooooo helpful, so I thought I should express my gratitude publically.
Maybe I'll get back to this in February if i'm allowed.

OK, some I omitted before:

Best couple.. sorry, I just can't resist, I nominate Xandax and Fable. They're both supermods, it's a marriage made in Moderating Heaven... :D

Most Stupid Thing Said On SYM: I have to second Moonbiter on this one:

Chimaera182 on the demise of former South African leader Botha:

"Yeah, wing, I'm with you. I have no idea who or what the heck that is. Was. But I'm far too lazy to look up this insignificant and obviously deceased person."

LMAO! :D

Sure you are allowed to nominate people and vote!
It will only bring some fresh sides to the votes and nominaties, as you aren't as got used to the "roles" people may have taken/got in the eyes of older members...

So far I have following numbers of nominates in different awards:

SYM Most Helpful Member: 5
SYM Most Loveable/Romantic Female Member: 2
