Your one New Year's Eve wish for the world (no spam)

Post by fable »

Not for you, not for your business, not for your nation. If you could make one NYE wish for the entire world that would take effect, what would it be?

Mine? That we all live every moment of all our lives with no illusions whatsoever.

Ohh, will that include pigs flying or no?

Mine? A mystical *poof* and dissapearing act of every human on the planet, and all of their non-natural, material possessions with it. It would be the best thing for any other species that happens to share this planet with this species.

My one wish for the world would be to end it. Though I'd normally agree with Magrus' wish (one I've held on to for some time), I tend to see what we've done to the world as something of a malignant cancer. And eventually, the only good thing to do for a deathly-ill patient is to put them out of their misery.

I want the world to.. ah forget it. I want the world to become more appreciative of carefully constructed spam. The art of saying absolutely nothing with many beautiful words is the closest you can get to poetry without meaning. That's life, really. Spagnificant.

My wish? I wish that people will start to think rationally and have common sense. This year's been marked with stupid politicians passing laws based on their whim and fancy compared to common sense. Anti-gaming laws, anti-burqa laws, when will this fiasco ever end? Not to mention how people are willing to attack each other just because they are different in terms of thinking and other factors. I know my wish will surely not be granted but if there is just one moment, just one hint of understanding shown in 2007, I will be contend.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

Definately Zombies.

Well, that's just not gonna work. A zombie menace cannot possibly work for the simple fact that they need to feed on brains to sustain themselves, and the majority of people use their brains so little that they'd hold no nutritional value. The zombies would starve to death before they became a real threat. :p

Hrm. What else I'd like for the world... how about the U.S. no longer sticking its collective nose in the business of others, where it doesn't belong? We've done it enough in the last several decades to deserve the anti-American sentiments out there.

But those are the chewy kind of brains... So fable doesnt delete this, ill put up a wish.

I wish people would think once in a while. A very wise man once said(yelled), "There's a reason we're born with brains in our heads and not rocks!" A time with less idiots would be a great time indeed.

So zombies may feed.

Flippancy aside, I truely believe the world needs a general confrontable solvable world crisis to unit us.

And cull the slow. Seriously, how can you not escape a zombie?

Humans are not only capable of ugly things. They can also be friendly, sharing, altruistic. The sad thing is that these kind of persons are rarely in governing positions and you don't see these kind of actions on the news. For 2007, I wish more Nelson Mandelas and David Suzukis in positions of power and influence.
Dr. Stein grows funny creatures, lets them run into the night.
They become GameBanshee members, and their time is right.

I would like it if at least 5 political leaders in the world didn't screw up something. And when I say political leaders, I don't mean a mere senator, I'm talking minimum Vice President equivelant Authority.

My world NYE resolution would be for people to lossen up a lot more, it seems to me people are becoming alot more rigid and inolerant of other peoples differing viewpoints.
I just want people to take off their ideological blinkers and loosen up, the world's not as bad as one might make it.
