Hi:
I have the following Class Specifications:
1. Mage 2. Adepts 3. Sorcerer
I wanted to get the Battlemage next but can't get the quest from the Mage Guild.
When I talk with Mage Aleister he only offers Wizard, no other choice. I don't want that, I want Battlemage.
It is my understanding that I have I First Class and that is Mage
Then I can have two second teir choices wihich I plan on using Sorcerer and Battlemage.
Then for the third tier, have two choices which I will choose Warlock and Wizard.
Is this OK? Can I do this?
I need to get the quest to kill Krugas, but can't find out who or where I get this quest.
Where am I going wrong?
Thanks

Question On Classes
Your path in a guild is pretty linear. For guild of mages, you can have mage- sorcerer -wizard or mage-battlemage -warlock. Additionally, you can have 2 core classes, 2 second tier classes but only one third tier class, which in the guild of mages is either wizard or warlock, not both.
You don't mention the other core class (first level) class that you have. If you don't have one, you need to figure out what other guild to join. You will not be able to have 2 second tier classes from the same guild. Look here for class information:

Hi kathyc:

If I haven't misunderstood your question, I believe my core class is Thrall (Male).
But I've been trying to figure things out. Since I have the Icons for Mage and also for Adepts, I guess these are my two 1st tier classes and I'm locked into that now?
If so, I will not be able to get to Battlemage.
I see my possible paths now as being:
Adepts > Paladen
and
Mage > Sorcerer
Then onto the 3rd tier, and that can only be in line with one of the above. Is this correct Kathy?
Thanks

there are 4 core classes: Adept, Fighter, Mage, Rogue. One of these is chosen at the character creation screen. You can have 2 core classes. For each core class, you can then choose just one second tier class. After that you're left with one class slot you can fill with a 3rd tier class. This one must follow one of the second tier classes you have chosen.
To choose classes in the game, you have to visit their guilds and talk to the guild masters.

Well, according to what you posted earlier, you are already a mage/adept...those are your two core classes. (first level)
second tier (second level) class=sorcerer; this is what you have already.
For your next second tier class you can choose Paladin, Celestial or the Eastern house/adept class of Monk.
For your third tier (third level) class you now have the choice of Wizard, Crusader, Stargazer or Shaolei master, depending of course on what you want for your character and also what your choice of your other second tier class is. Keep in mind you will only be able to choose ONE third tier class. The possible builds are as follows:
mage/adept sorcerer/paladin crusader
mage/adept sorcerer/paladin wizard
mage/adept sorcerer/monk wizard
mage/adept sorcerer/monk shaolei master
mage/adept sorcerer/celestial wizard
mage/adept sorcerer/celestial stargazer
It might seem a little confusing, but read through the classes (the link that POISON and I posted). You will see how classes are gained depending on earlier classes chosen (dependency chart) and you can also see what learning bonuses and skills each class has. If it was me, I would choose wizard as my ultimate goal, but of course that is up to you.
Keep in mind the different skills each class gets, and see what interests you. I always liked adding "Monk" for my celestial magic characters as you get some nice learning bonuses. (Remember, go to the link given and read over the chart! )
