returning to candlekeep (Spoilers)

when i try to return to Candlekeep I am beeing asked for a book of great value to be donated in order to enter.Where is this book?

You get it from Duke Eltan after doing a quest for him. In order to be given the quest, you have to speak to Scar outside the Flaming Fist.

Shhhh,
Don't tell him. If you follow the main quest you get back to Candleceep late in the game but you can't do it untill then.
