Bug? Illegal for me to rest anywhere
Has anyone had this problem? Even when I rent a room and try to rest in a bed, it says resting there is illegal. Can't rest in Cassius's place or the Fighters' Guild, either. It's illegal for me to rest anywhere. So, I've gained enough to go up 7 levels, but I can't, because apparently it's illegal for me to rest everywhere.

No. You should be able to rest anywhere outside town without having problems with the law.Kipi wrote:Is it illegal to rest even in the wilderness? I don't mean near any town or village, but in middle of nowhere?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

That was it; I was trying to rest instead of using the bed. Thanks! Everytime I tried to rest in the wilderness I got a msg that enemies were near. My thief (Tasselhoff Burrfoot, for any Dragonlance fans) really hates those birds that are seemingly everywhere.

Anyway, thanks again.

I had the same problem for awhile in the wilderness only the problem wasn't that there were monsters. I think I was in the mountains near Moonmoth and the area I was in was flagged as a city even though it didn't appear so. Eventually it got better.

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
