Some question?????

I have some questions and I hoped that someone could help me?

1-there was a quest for the countess of bruma,then when I went to the ruin and crossed it i found a crumpled note in a barrel beside the fortress and there was a key too and beside the fortress i found a chest that need a key o open it and tried to open it with the key i found in the barrel but i failed so my question is
what is in the chest?
and how can i open it?
and what is the importance of the key in the barrel?

2-the count of leyawinn has made me a knight and gave me a key to the white stallion farm so my question is
does he have any other quests to give?

3-my final question for now
is there any other guilds or groups to join other than the thieves,mages,dark brotherhood,vampires hunters,knights of leyawinn,blades?
