A Few Armor Related Questions....

Post by Sly Boots »

I found some Dread-Armor, as it is worth quite a bit, I am trying to sell, it, yet no merchant, I have visited, seems to want it. Will any one buy it?

Once a armor is completly broken, (in red) is there any way to fully repair it? All the smiths, I have visited in Arcanum, have been unable to help.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can repair items that are totally broken.

As for the dread armor, I've only managed to sell them to junk dealers. Unless, your character has lots of points in Haggle - it may help sell the armors to regular merchants, but it's just a guess.

If you're a Haggle Expert, you can sell anything to anyone, except if it's stolen ("stolen" items are those items you get to complete the Thieves' Underground quests, not the items you occasionally "borrow" :D from people). Broken items can be repaired, but there's a bug in the unpatched version which prevents that. So, patch the game and then you'll be able to repair such items.

I have the patch and it seems to me that I can't repair broken items. Do I have to be repair master or what?

According to the game manual, yes, you have to be a repair Master to repair broken items, but repairing them will take away 5% from their max HP.

How to repoir some items

You must have Repair skill active to do any repair but to restore item that have turned red is only possible to do if your charcter is master of repair. When you start a new game you're at the crashsite. While searching around you will also search bodies and should find a camera. Keep the camera by placing it in a seldom used active slot. When you enter Caladon Find the inventor of the mono-planes used to attack the blimb during the game start.
