Hidden Booty Quest (*spoilers*)

The Problem: Cant get the last clue [clue#3] from Guildmaster.
Game Version: TLC

I guess I left this quest till like after [Rescue Scarlet Robe Quest]. So even after I successfully hunted down all 5 assassins after that. I go back to guildmaster and I thought he would give me the third clue.. but when i talk to him he says sumthing like:

"I have an important quest card for you." I think it was return to hook quest.

So if im not mistaken, after killing all the assassins, you should get the third clue off guildmaster(GM). But even AFTER I finished "Battle Jack" quest... I still cant get my third clue. When I talk to the GM... he tells me to go to the tower and put in the fire heart.


Im beginning to guess I wont be able to get my frying pan anymore >.<


Any ideas?

I don't think you actually walk up to the guildmaster and receive the reward. I think he just gives it to you after you've completed the Assassin Attacks quest. So maybe you haven't actually completed that quest.

oh erm.. I dont quite know how to 'complete' that quest then. I already hunted down all 5 assassins.. although if I remember correctly... the assassin at Knothole Glade doesnt appear anymore. i think I've killed him like twice =S

and yeah.. without the 3rd clue... no 4 slot frying pan >.<


Anyone else faced such problem?

Or if better still, how did everyone else complete this quest and get the 3rd clue?

when the Guildmaster says this..it has nothing to do with the Hidden Booty Quest. He is as you say refering to the Return To Hook Coast Quest. You do not get any clues for the Hidden Booty off him.

After you have taken the 'Break The Seige' quest at Knothole Glade this should trigger the assassins attacks. I have found it is better to let them run in order as they do not always respawn (well with me they do not! ).
1. Knothole Glade-cross the bridge
2. Witchwood Cullis Gate-near focus site on right side
3. Windmill Hill-go up steps in the windmill
4. Prison Path-go towards pier
5. Hook Coast-upper level, go towards bell.
The last assassin at Hook Coast should...in theory..drop the third treasure clue. I have heard it rumoured that sometimes it is the assassin at Witchwood that drops it but I have still to come across him doing it.

You should come across the assaasins as you make your way through the game doing the main quests, but if you are already done the quests that activate them then teleport to each region in order above and that should get you the clue. If it does not work give me a shout.
