Could someone provide me with the numerical bonuses that a Thief receives when standing in a shadowy area?

Does he receive a bonus to THAC0 when hidden? If so, how much?

A thief under effects of Kai or Righteous Magic does maximum damage upon a backstab or only when attacking normally?

Yes, -4 for both hands

I think yes, but I can't check: my swashbuckler/cleric has backstub multiplier x1 :D

Yes to both, but with Kai you still must strike the foe in the back. Sometimes after activating kai, the foe has moved.
