Westin Ranch Forcefield bugged?!

I'm doing this quest for Lynette form VC to deliver the hollodisk, but when I get to the guard at the gate and aske permission he then goes to the computer at the wall then says he will lower the forcefield but when he comes back its still on? I tried using repair on the emitter but it only gives me 50xp and It's not even disabled? can anyone help me out on this? is this a bug? anyway I'm playing on a patched v1.02 version.

Try to re-enter that area, enter/exit combat mode or something similar... that should fix the problem

This happened to me a couple of times, but I managed to fix it that way.

ok Mr. Pastorius, but how did you managed to do it? I mean, I've been entering NCR several times and nothing, besides when do I get this holodisc from Lynette, I mean which part (after Strak's quest to find a way to NCR, or before repairing Gecko, or what?)

I'm afraid you misunderstood. It's not a quest problem, it's just that the forcefield at the Westin ranch is a bit bugged, so it doesn't always disappear when it should. That's why I said re-entering the area (going downtown and returning) should solve the problem because the forcefield gets reset. I know it helped me several times.

WHEN do I get this quest to deliver this holodisc form Lynette to Westin??

*spoiler*After you get the holodistk from Bishop's safe, wipe out the raiders and get the account book from the safe. Then go to Stark, tell him you've wiped them out and he'll tell you to go to Lynette. Tell her about the account book and then mention the holodisk. You should get that quest afterwards.*spoiler end*

Wa... wa... wait, you mean that: after giving Bishop Moore's suitcase, I mustn't kill Westin, but instead of it wipe out Raiders (I don't remember finding any disc in their safe), than got to Bishop, somehow obtain that holodisc from his safe, than go with it to Lynette and deliver it to Westin??

Do you remember how much CH did you had, when completing this quest (also if you remember the % of your Speech skill I'd be also grateful)

*spoiler* FINALLY, I MADE IT!! You just need to have sex with Bishop's wife, and after that she'll give you the code to the safe that is: WHEN SHE IS SLEEPING!! *spoiler end*
