now before any one starts moaning about me searching the threads i have and they dont help solve my problem.
the problem is that for some reason after i give eno all the items i dont get mephala's spell as a reward, infact i dont get anything!
im running it on xbox and it aint the game of the year edition.
i've also tried searching the net for a solution but nothing. i've tried clicking on the alter and i've tried killing the guy then clicking the alter and nothing happens at all.
one of the quests im doing wich i havent bothered to complete yet is for mehrunes dagon, could this be affecting it.
That is a very good question. I am about to finish up on that very guild. When I do I might be able to help you. I know if you kill him before you get the spell your not going to get it. I would first save the game right before you give the last Sanguine item to Eno. That way if you don't get the spell then you can load up the save and try something else.
The problem maybe that you have yet to give him all 27 items. If that's not the case then I cann't help you as of yet. Other then those things, I cann't give much help at the moment. I'll repost in about an hour or so here. I will then have finished the Sanguine items quest.
If I get the spell (or skill as the guide says), then it's only on the game of the year version. I maybe wrong though. I personally don't have that version. I do have the GOTY version for the xbox.
Oh another thing I have noticed. The guide on here has worked for me so far, but with a few differences. Like the goldbrand, when I got it upgraded, it did not come up as the bluebrand. It is called Eltonbrand and it's almost the same color it just has a redish tent to it. So the guide does work for the xbox versions, it just has minor differences.
Anyway I will repost what I find out when I have completed the Sanguine item quest. Don't get your hopes up though, it may do the same for me.
Ok so it might take me more then an hour. I will repost here when I finish up the quest. It may take a while. I'm still fighting off some off the enemies with those items on them. So yeah it may take longer then an hour.
Well I finished that quicker then I thought I would.
Ok. Here's the deal. First make sure you have returned all 27 items. With the last one being the Ring of Sanguine Unseen Wisdom ( I don't think it matters, but that was the last item I returned). The with that last one Eno should say "You have returned all of the Threads of The Webspinner" and then something about being blessed with Mephala's skill. This skill is a spell. A Mysticism spell I believe.
I got the spell in the GOTY version. So If it doesn't work then it might be a glitch or it just isn't in your version(I don't know why it wouldn't be).
If you need more help with finding the items then I would go to the Elder scrolls game guide here on this site. The go to side quests, after that go to Morag Tong. That will tell you where every item is. Although I have found one Sanguine item that is not on the list. It is a rare item though. It's the ShortBow of Sanguine Sureflight. It's a great short bow. It isn't worth much if you sell it, but it has a great enchantment on it. (Sorry if my spelling is a little off) Anyway the enchantment is:
Cast when used
Fortify Marksman 7 pts for 30 secs on Self
So if your not good at marksmanship this bow can help a little.
Oh yeah, when you reached Exalted Master rank you should get a dagger named Black Hands Dagger. It's a really nice dagger.
Also I was at that rank when I gave the last Sanguine item to Eno (well the last from the list in the game guide). So that maybe why it's not giving you the spell. Try to get to that rank before you give Eno the last item.
If that don't work then I don't know how to help you out, so sorry if it doesn't help.

thanks for your suggestions. i loaded a save file i did just before giving him the last item, tried it again and this time it worked but a bit of a disapointment as it doesnt give me access to the fortify skill tree, just the fortify attack
o wel on the bright side it works now.
sorry for not adding spoilers in the title, didnt think about it at the time.
think i should get a copy of the game of the year edition ASAP just need to decide if i should get the xbox version or the pc version lol

I would definately recommend the PC version, if for nothing else than for the thousand of high quality mods out there.

Yes....get the one for PC, I started playing this game on Xbox and got hooked.
Then ran out and got the GOTY edition for PC, and started dl'ing mods.:laugh:
I do recommend the Vibrant Morrowind mod, it just adds color and texture to the world very well.

Looks like this thread got the answer requested. I'm closing it, rather than leaving it to enthusiasts (like myself) to turn into another "Why you should buy Morrowind" thread of which we have at least one, possibly more hanging around.
