Yet another bug?

Post by Artemisa »

I was happily playing NWN2. When suddenly I saw that Neeshka didn't follow me. She just standed at the entrance and watch us fight. I checked the behavior tab but there was nothing different from the other characters. So I just didn't use her and everything was ok again.
I'm now in a part where you have to fight a lot and alone. Then my characters returned again to fight with me. But now no one is moving by their own.
I don't know what to do know, this is more like a bug I think.
Am I the only one with this problem?

What official patch version are you using?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

It sounds like you need to use the broadcast command "follow me." You can issue this command by holding down the right mouse button and using the menu that pops up.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

I think that's just the buggy AI for ya. No specific bug, just bad AI overall.

The henchman do strange things every so often. I seem to be in the minority with this, but I prefer puppet mode by far. And the odd thing even with puppet mode is that the henchmen still run off to do battle. They should just stand there until I tell them to do otherwise, but nooo they tend to do their own thing anyway.

I am to the point where I just make sure I build a strong character and ignore the henchmen for the most part (let them run off, or just stand idle). And then pause and directly control them when I need to.

Edit: the third post wasn't up when I wrote this, but yeah, that will command them to follow you once again....for a little while at least ;)
