Can't get out of Ust'natha. Help!

Post by bunz »

I'm in Ust'natha and am completing the dragon's eggs quest. When I opened the door to the room they are in, inside the temple, everybody in the city went hostile, so I made a dash for the city gates, but they are locked. The city guard told me the Matron Mother had closed the city. Now what? This is the second time I have played this far, and don't remember why I quit the first time, but it was probably the same problem. Any thoughts?

Killing spree

Here's the good news:
You can get out of the city by killing everything.

Here's the bad news:
To get out, you have to kill everything.

Start slaughtering - Do try to avoid killing any innocents from the surface. The doors should open when you've killed all of the Drow. I've always managed to sneak my way out quickly enough (Next run through, they're all dying), but this is how it's supposed to be done, if I remember correctly.

Happy killing,

SPOILERS

Perhaps, it would be easier to reload? When I open the door to change the eggs, the guards immediately in front of the door go hostile. I kill them and the golems inside, make the egg exchange, and leave. None of the drow besides the guards near the door go hostile. I've never tried to kill the entire city. If you proceed by the quests, once the matron mother dies, hurry towards the gates, and you can get free with out killing anyone unless you want to - not much reward in doing so in my opinion.

You, being the avatar of the god of murder, should require no reward for slaughtering things... More so, if they be evil drow. Plus it makes it easier to justify it to your Good protagonist.
