Vertibird plans
I've killed that guy at the station in Navarro. I didn't convinced him that I wanted to join the Enclave :/ Anyway, is it essential, because no I can't get those DAMN plans, as well as FOB. Any solutions apart from blasting them all (with Gauss Rifle)
As for now, I have 1 Gauss Rifle, and I'm investing points in Energy Weapons (Laser Sniper)
Would you advics me to put more points in speech, invest in E Weapons or simply beginning everything anew ;(

About entering Navarro, you can't sneak in without extrememly good Sneak -skill if you have killed the guy at the gas station...
About the skills... it depends what you have already, in example what fighting skills you have and how high and so on... And mostly it's matter of taste wether to raise enrgy weapons, although it may be more useful than speech skill...

Actually, if you attacked him first, that is, if he didn't radio the base for intruders, you can enter Navarro through the shack he was guarding. You'll find a trapdoor with a manhole from where you can enter the underground section of the base. Don't worry if you don't have a Power Armor, noone will attack you unless you do something stupid. You can get it from the armory anyway (the room on the northeast with lockers).
As for the skills, the Gauss Rifle is a fantastic gun with the longest range in the game (50 hexes), so I think it would be better to invest points in Speech rather than using them for Energy Weapons.

Wait, did you attack the guy at the gas station first or did he attack you and radio the base that there's an intruder?T'rissirahc wrote:well, I do have Power Armour, but just that I wonder, whether it is better to slay some of them and find a quick escape, or to try lying to them.
Thanks, I'll follow your advice.
By the way, if the base has been alerted for an intruder (i.e. you), you won't be able to talk to anyone, because you'll get attacked on sight and, most likely, end up as a puddle of goo under the fire of two Plasma Turrets and two guards equipped with Plasma Rifles at the entrance.
You COULD try getting to the underground level fighting your way to the elevator (which is way easier because the troops underground are mostly equipped with Combat Armors and Laser Rifles) that will bring you close to the room where the Vertibird plans are kept. From there you should be able to avoid the guards, kill the guy guarding the locker, grab the plans and make a run for it back to the elevator.

The initiative was mine. I killed him, because he didn't wanted me to enter this room with a manhole. And so I was wandering arounf and thinking. Anywai, I finally got isse off, and shooting them off (t.i. I only killed circa 2 or 3 people upstairs and all of the staff in the underground - almost every shot was a critical one  )
Now I'm stuck in Enclave, but that's another post...

nice, Fallout skater, very nice, but there is another, easier way to enter there. Remember the Blue Key Card found somwhere in Gecko (heck, still looking, but I guess I'll have to kill Chris and enter there by using force), well it is used to open those doors with Deathclaw from the vent side.
Vent, you ask?? Yup. Wnen standing in the gas station, go left untill you find a metal a'la dome with some vertical holes. That's the air vent. Go there and when you get to the doors use the keycard on them.
I must confess that I haven't tried it yet, but... I will ;P

But then again, you must get past the guards to actually release that deathclaw, which again requires either sneaking or killing the guards...T'rissirahc wrote:nice, Fallout skater, very nice, but there is another, easier way to enter there. @Skater
You probably were lucky, as I haven't been able to sneak past the guards with such a low sneaking skill. Or, you were using the advanced powerarmor, which makes the gurads to ignore you if you go to the base via underground section

Yes, but that requires only sneaking past two guards, the one next to the elevator and the one in the room.Fallout skater wrote:well I remember using the power armour but come to think of it there is no way to get a power armour if u haven't been in the the navarro base. I think there was some air shaft in the wood behind a big rock but I am not sure if u can reach a power armour from there.
But even sneaking past those two is almost impossible (I say almost because you say you have done it) with very low sneaking.

That's only true if you have managed to convice the robed guy at the gas station that you are part of their new forces they recruit.Mr. Pastorius wrote:Actually, you can freely walk past the guards and talk to anyone in Navarro wearing any type of Power Armor, it doesn't have to be the Advanced PA.
Otherwise, anyone inside will attack you on sight, except the guards at the gate which will give you one warning before shooting.

As a matter of fact, yes there is a way to get the Power Armour. Military Base. Though it is hard to obtain it, because it is well guarded by some super mutants (armed with flamers, plasma rifles, laser rifles). However, if you have at least 1 Psycho and min. Combat Armour, armed with Gauss Rifle and around 100 Stimpacks without a meele char - you will be able to slaughter them (as for me I had Goris in my team, but since he is a meele, he died instantly after few bursts of fire and that's why I only took Cassidy armed with Sniper Rifle)
Sorry for spoiler, but as the Chosen One once said: I hate to leave the matters half done (or something like that).

Or, use bozar, any armor or no armor at all, and use the corners to cover yourself between shooting...T'rissirahc wrote:As a matter of fact, yes there is a way to get the Power Armour. Military Base. Works, as I almost always do it that way. My char doesn't take any hits at all...
But I'm not sure about the normal power armour, as I have vague memory that it must be advanced power armour if you are "sneaking". So, if you haven't got the permission to enter, only APA can hide you...
