lost control over character

i'm in the underdark right now and in battle i've lost control over character and he yust stands there. The characte icon on right is gone and i can't view inventory or stats of that character. How do I fix this? I have tried stone to skin spell but it doesn't work...

Try using a "Remove Curse" spell, perhaps your character has been hit by Feeblemind or some other curse. If that doesnt work try casting "Dispel Magic" on him/her, if that doesnt work try "Remove Paralyzis"... if that doesn't work reload

What character did you lose control of? Not your own, I assume? Because if it is your own, something's very wrong.

If it isn't yours but one of your team members, I suspect they're petrified. Go and purchase a scroll of Pertrification to Flesh, and cast it on them.

Also, remember that if they are turned to stone then when you restore them to flesh you have to talk to them to get them to join your party again.
