Cult of Unseen Eye quest help

Post by Cazic »

Well i just completed the quest, supposedly, ive done everything but bring the rod back to the avatar and speak to the Temple of Helm. I've killed the Uber Beholder with the rod but i cant complete the quest now because the rod is gone, out of my inventory, just poofed. Everytime i try to speak to the Avatar in the lower reaches it says he has nothing more to say to me, yet in my quest journal it says i still need to return the rod to him and is uncomplete. Any help would be appreciated,

Have you checked the I-wanna-be-a-god beholder's corpse?

When you use the rod, it should be removed from the quick slot and placed in your inventory. If your inventory was full then that may explain the disappearance, although usually when that happens you get a message, something like 'I can carry no more, your item is on the ground'. If that happened and you missed the message, then it's possible the wand is lying on the ground where you fought the Unseeing Eye. If not, then the only option I can think of is to either give yourself the item in Shadow Keeper or by using the console.

Good catch, Galraen. You remind me that we've had some posts here in the forum a number of years ago pointing out this message about dropping extra items doesn't always seem to appear. I'd suggest going through the UE's area flicking the tab key to spot anything on the ground.

This quest is not crucial for the game, so you can just skip it.
