Does the bard-song improve stealing ability?

Whenever I play the bard-song, my Bard seems to be better at pickpocketing and stealing from shops. Is this true, or am I wrong?

It's just the luck of the draw. But if you want to test the matter to be sure, try stealing a dozen times with the song, and a dozen times without. Tally up the results.

It may add an insignificant and not listed luck bonus. Why bother though with all the abundant potions of master thievery ??

Just curious. I've never played DnD so I still don't know how many rules and things like that work.

As I see it, the plain Bard song seems to have such an insignificant effect that it may as well not be included. Am I missing something about it?

The bard song is often underappreciated.
If you do a little calculation you'll be surprised how much the average damage output can be increased with this little song.
