who killed r. hlaalu ,I checked the walkthrue but could not find it. I had robbed hlaalu manner in balmora a long time ago, and the only thing i left was his boddy, so now i have nothing to base my invastagation on. i evean sold his close. i would like your help on this, or anyone who knows for that matter, thanks for any help you can give me.
IIRC ( 
) there should be someone (Uryne Nirith) alive in one of the upstairs rooms that will start you on your way. If not the killer was , I'd recommend only highlighting the name as a last resort though, talk to Uryne, then ask people around Balmora.

Not manor, the inn often mentioned as the meeting place of those local criminal guys (i have neither game nor spoilers at hand, so i just cannot recall exact names). If you have visited the fort near Balmora and have the bloodbath quest as well, you may learn about the place in Thieves Guild (just near the entrance).
But anyway, if you've cared to look a bit around, you'd find very nice walkthrough section on this very site
