Malchor Harpell

Is there a way to get round Malchor Harpell takin Drizzt's gear after you come out of Bohdi's tomb (chapter 6). I'm a Fighter/Mage and I was thinking of storing the sutff in the Keep or the Planar Sphere apart fomr the worst items I picked up form the party.. Would that work?

Searched the forum for "malchor harpell" and came up with these (among others). Apparantly your proposed solution won't work - you will have to either install a mod or you could follow the instructions from the BG oracle known as UserUnfriendly. I'll insert the links - hope it works.
