Expertise & Power Attack: Will they work together?

Post by Klorox »

Just wondering here. I'm considering this as an option for a very high level tank type.

TIA

I'm not sure. I suspect they won't. You could check quite easily, especially if you've kept any of your parties that have a character with both of those feats. Any fighter type with high Int (e.g. with wizard levels) is likely to use both feats, so I'd take them both even if they don't work concurrently.

Even if they do work together, I'm not sure I'd bother. A high level fighter will have several attacks per round, and you'd hit less often with attack rolls 2-4 (or 2-5, if hasted or dual-wielding) if you take a significant cut to your BAB.

not sure if possible, but there is no reason why they shouldn#t work together.

But never tried this, as this doesn't make any sense from my point of view!

Improving the hit chance on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th attack is much more worth than the extra damage from PA!
