Short of Cahs in Need of a Good Demo Download Site

Post by Avane »

Afternoon all, it is almost the weekend and I am looking for a new game to play.[Not all week-end, I'm not that sad...]. Just finished Fallout 2 and not quite ready to tackle Fallout Tactics. Still revelling in my recent conquering of evil.
Anyway, was reading the GB review on Deus Ex and it looked good, but being a little short on the old 'spondoolies' (greenbacks, d'argent etc) thought, okay what if I can get a demo and try it out? Have not found anything satisfactory. One site fo Deus Ex gave me an hour (generous...) could not even run the tutorial in that time and even that was so buggy that I did not know what I was supposed to do. Anyone who knows a good try-out demo site that doesn't have unmanageable time deadlines and not too buggy pls let me know. Have a great Friday night!! ;) . Failing that will have to win the lottery...
[PS: To moderators: If I have posted this in the wrong area, apologies. I have done several searches for this type of info, so pls re-post if any clash with site rules. Many thanks, as always, Avane].

I can recommend PC Gameworld. That site have the demo of both Deus Ex and it's sequel, Deus Ex: Invisible War. Hope this helps. :)
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

try nZone: Home, but I believe most demos are the same where ever you go. When you get a one hour trial you usually download the whole game, but with a demo it usually is a preset "adventure" which you can take your time with.
Every day above ground is a good day.(Unless your an Illithid)
