Installing SoA and ToB Q

Post by dedmete »

I've got a question about installing SoA. The version of BGII I have came with ToB also. Should I install both? Or wait until I finish SoA? Wasn't sure if ToB changed any of the SoA quests or not?? Thanks.

1 other thing, I haven't started playing yet. If that makes a difference.

You can install both no problem the only thing ToB will do is raise the exp cap in SoA. You'll also gain access to Watcher's keep should you choose to do it in SoA. Oh and the Wild Mage class is added if you want to play it. Be sure to also install the latest patch and G3 fixpack they get rid of 99.99% of the bugs

It's an upgraded version of Baldurdash fixpack pack
G3 BG2 Fixpack

Installing it after the latest ToB patch can potentially save you many headaches down the road. (The fixes are numerous and are listed in the readme)
That site has many mods along side the fixpack but if this is your first time through I recommend skipping the mods on that site
