Sith/Dark Jedi

Post by DarthMarth »

What's the difference between sith and dark jedi? Is a dark jedi just evil but not in collaboration with the sith? are they the same thing? because if so, no one evil refers to jedi as "light sith"

I think it's more like the Dark Jedis have joined the Siths but is not really a full-fledged Sith yet. I'm not really that much of a Star Wars fan but from what I can tell, Dark Jedis are those that fell to the dark side.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

i think that the dark jedi(or dark jedi master/apocalypt) is a sith, it's just the rank of the siths jedies.

In the KoTOR series I think it's just denotation of rank, the Master/apprentice rule (Rule of Two) didn't come until after the KoTOR time line.

Then I find it odd they still refer to them as some form of Jedi.

In KOTOR, a lot of Jedi switched sides and fell to the dark side, which is probably why they are still referred to as Jedi.

well it would be weird to call them ''sith jedi'', and you cant call them a sith lord until they are the leader of the sith. and a sith is a darksider so fallen jedis would call them self dark jedi or just a sith(but sith can be many, like a sith trooper and all)

According to Wookiepedia, a Dark Jedi is a Jedi who's fallen to the darkside, but hasn't necessarily allied him/herself with the Sith.

in the EU/books

In the EU or Books a Sith is a member of the order that is different from the Jedi all together. They have similar beliefs, and powers, lightsabers, force, meditation etc... The orders have different doctrin and teachings. A dark Jedi is any force user who has had any real training and can use the force atleast a little, normaly such people are former Jedi or students. The Sith have gone through several changes, from a giant order much like the Jedi to the rule of two started by Darth Bane. When the Sith were a big order they had a ranking system much like the Jedi and even had their own council except instead of all equal there was the Dark Lord to rule them all, they liked trickory as a trait but still fought like the jedi with lightsabors and ships and soldiers. Bane changed that by tricking the mass army of sith to do a mission where they all would be killed by the Jedi and as the only survivor he was able to make the galaxy believe the Sith were gone. He then found an apprentic and thus the rule of two, one to have power the other to want it. And that was all there were. In the movies Darth Sidious was the master and Vader was the apprentic but Vader also trained others, the Hands, but they could be called dark Jedi or force users because he never taught them the full measure of their abilities or had the intention of them one day replacing him. I'm kind of a star wars nut and I read alot.

i always thought that the term 'sith' referred to the entire cult, i.e, soldiers and pilots e.t.c. not just the dark jedi, who seem to be of the higher ranks among the sith, in particular the dark lord of the sith and his/her apprentice of that time.
