You know you've played too much Baldur's Gate 2 when...

You start giving money to homeless people so they can let you in on all the fun and exiting stuff in your city

You press Tab if you want to unfold the e-mailadress of a friend in your MSN list

You find it strange that your parents-in law get upset when you start rummaging through their chests and bedroom cupboards, stuffing all the family jewelry and dinner knifes in your pockets

You only move in shadows

The sound of spellcasters crescendoing their spells is the last sound you hear before you fall asleep...

When BG sayings are burned into your memory for all time. Something like "You must gather your party before venturing forth."

When you say that phrase to your group of friends when you are ready to leave.

When your best friend or a sibling gets kidnapped, and despite the fact that it is up to you to rescue him/her, you procrastinate and justify doing so by claiming you need to raise funds first.

You adress you minions (Staff) thusly:

"Hear Me! You have exceeded my extremely LOW expectations, barely."

"Ugh. Motivating you sloths is like pulling teeth."

"Hideous Monkey Work."

1) you start a thread like this one to see which symptoms you have to look out for :D

2) you attempt to cast freinds on yourself to temporarily boost your charisma score while at the store to get a better deal :D

3) You refuse to donate blood because you'll not be sharing your devine blood with the common peasantry

1) You can't post answers in a thread like this because you got so used to all the symptoms that you don't notice them any more

2) Sitting down to your thesis, you think: "couldn't I hire some poor fool to do it for me?"

3) You start an animated conversation about turnip with your short, bearded collegue because, to you, he simply is Jan Jansen

When you pray you say "Oh Omnipresent Authority Figure" instead of "Our Father", or is that just in ToSC?

No, Jaheira does that throughout BG1. But definitely not in BG2, so this doesn't belong here. ;)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Or:

After a fight you decide to check into his romance globals to see if you can change them to a more desirable setting.

You threaten to kick your man out of your party and replace him with somebody who has a similar class.

 ROFL! Got to do this, but which first? I love that!

"Darling, I'm afraid if You don't turn Your lovetalk into something more hot, I'm afraid Your cousin would suit me much better... He's got 18 STR, and you only 17..." Ahahahaha!

*snicker* :D

Strength? Well, I suppose it's all subjective... but, personally, I figure Dexterity and Constitution would be his most important attributes....

OK, *coughs* I'd better return to topic before Fable has my hide... :D

You give money to churches in order to get off of a "most wanted" list

DW: Constitution as in being able to endure *battle* for a long, looong time.. ? :D I don't know about DEX but if there was such a thing as agility in BG, sign me up for the "Women's Gymnastics Team of Faerun Fanclub". :p

You know you've played too much Baldur's Gate 2 when at random times when there's nobody around to hear you, you start chanting: Bacchua, bacchuo, phaero! or Vita, mortis, careo! or something simmular :) :) This HAS happened to me.. lots of times :) Nothing weird has happened yet though.. I'm starting to think that the BG developers deliberately changed the spell chants so the user at home doesn't hurt him/her self by accident. Imagine if you suddenly gate in a Pit Fiend while making breakfast..

When you look in your "Journal" to see what you need to do next.

When you raw up 3 or 4 converation options in your head whilst talking.

When you automatically click the Space bar (even with no keyboard) when you are suprised by something.

you know that you have been playing BG too much when you wonder why Bishop Desmond Tutu doesn't seem to be able to raise the dead and why Dr Rowan Williams didn't cast 'silence' on a slavery protestor (from Calimsham).

When you start to qualify such vital human characteristics as sex-appeal, attractivity and so on by BG statistics :D
