Does selling and buying items recharge them?

Post by Klorox »

This is a tactic that works in the BG series. I want to know if you can sell an item low on charges in this game and buy it back fully recharged.

TIA

Yes, they do. That universal for all items in IE games. Although, there is an item that doesn't recharge, the decanter you find in wandering village, provided you have the bonus CD items activated. You can only use it for 3 times after which you're in for a fight.

However, you may want to free the genie from the decanter right away. The Brazen Bands are a fantastic item for that stage of the game (+5 generic AC bonus).

Can you use that item twice and then release the genie?

No. You only get the item if you release the genie the first time you talk to it.

Something interesting about the genie bottle that I didn't know until a month ago or so.

The Genie bottle "store" is actually three stores. The "store" that you enter depends on the level of your character. The higher your level, apparantly the better the store you get to shop in. If you have DLTCEP or Near Infinity, check it out. Surprised the heck out of me to discover 3 genie stores, not just one.
