Screen Res

Im using a 1.4 patch from the 1.2x I installed from CD.

Ive searched around the best I could but nothing Ive found has allowed me to use any resolution in game other than 800x600 .

If there is something Ive done wrong please tell me.
If there is a config file or a .ini I can manually edit/save to use the higher resolutions that would work also.

ahh..before I get bashed for video info..

Ive got a top end video card with the latest drivers.

That's a good one, M8.

If I remember correctly, my installation even at version 1.4, the default setup for me was 1024/768. But I always run my games at 800/600. At anything higher, the dialogue choices, and main menu are too small for my eyes.

my system;
3.2 gig hyper threading processor (pre duo core).
2 gig ram (originally 1 gig for DL).
nvidia gforce 6800gs/256 mb.

Maybe the game defaults to what windows res is set to. Probably not though, just a thought.

I'm presently running CE1.5 and I think 1024/768 is as high as I can take it, but like I said, too small detail to read. The gain at that res is not very much at any rate.

I got a resolution running...although not the highest one I was shooting for...I believe it was the res you mentioned.

I never bothered to check the midrange res options..and tried 1600x1200 and the 2048 x ????? that was there and neither one ever stuck.

Im using a widescreen monitor so being stuck at 800x600 with the $$ investment Ive got in video kinda tweaks me a bit .

Want To Buy 1680 x 1050 widescreen resolution for Dungeon Lords !

The highest I was able to achieve is 1280 x 1024 in CE/1.5. Basically the sides of my wide screen monitor were "lopped off" (i.e. black). Didn't bother me in the slightest.. of course it could be that sitting 5 feet away from my monitor still seems a bit "bold" (kind'a like playing DL on an IMAX theater). :mischief:
