Is the "Ring of Freedom of Movement" bugged?

Post by Klorox »

I ask because my Cleric, while wearing the ring, was "held" by myconids very shortly after aquiring the item.

I don't think so. The premise behind the myconids' attack is a blast of spores, which theoretically acts internally on the mind, as opposed to a hold caused by external forces operating on the body (e.g. Web, Slow).

Try to walk through webs with the feedback on; that should tell you if the ring is in fact useless.

Freedom of movement protects from magic that hinders movement. Myconid spores are not magical.
