Subtitles & dialogs

Post by GawainBS »

Hello

I just installed Fable and I completed the guild training.
During dialogs however, and while examining items/containers, the text sometimes flickers, shows only partially, or doens't even show at all.
I also noticed that during the dialogs, the speaker's voice turns to a very low volume, and a few sentences later, it's back to normal.
Especially the text not appearing is irritating me.
Can someone help me with this?
Thanks in advance!

I suggest installing the latest graphics drivers. It will help to alleviate this problem. If you're still experiencing this problem, I suggest cleaning the registry of your graphics drivers and do a clean install of the drivers.

Updating your audio drivers might help solve this problem. Can't think of any other solution for this other than updating your audio drivers.

I already have the latest ForceWare drivers, but lowering the colourdepth from 32 to 16 solved that problem with the subtitles.
I have an onboard soundcard, and not even sure what type it is, so no hope there.
Thanks for the help. :-)

Well, your onboard sound card also have drivers too. You should be able to see what brand/make it is by accessing the Master Volume panel. Once you found it, then you can go to the manufacturer's site and search for the drivers.
