laptop/monitor question
I just bought laptop and install Jade empire. It saying I need update my display drivers. what I want to know if I have to? display is on default monitor not plug and play. is this correct?

That would be more of your graphics card. Upgrading display drivers is upgrading your graphics card driver so it can work with Jade Empire.
Though it honestly doesn't matter, it told me to upgrade, I ignored it, and I'm finding no trouble whatsoever with the game.

Indeed. Laptops aren't always the most ideal gaming platforms though, there might be limits to what can be upgraded, both in soft and hardware.
If you can't just run the game anyway like Sibersys, just check your the brand and type of video card and go look for a driver download. You can check that by looking up your system properties' hardware list, or by looking up hardware info on your laptop model online. Those tend to be fixed with laptops.
