4 man party

Post by GawainBS »

Hello

I'd like to try IWDII HoF this time. I'm going to make a new party. I've decided it will be a 4 man party, because it's closer to P&P. (Just personal preference).
My first character would be the Spellsword Drow from the Powerbuild thread here. What should I use as his armour before I get the Elven Chainmail?
The second one would be the Aasimar Cleric/Paladin/Monk. (Maybe Drow to avoid the XP penalty.)
The third would be a Sorcerer.
The last one would be the Bard/Druid from the Powerbuild thread.
Would this be a viable 4man HoF party? Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

It's a viable HoF party, probably even too strong for a real challenge.

Thanks. Any suggestions what armour the Spellsword should wear? Make-do with Mage Armour perhaps?

...I just used him for pre-battle casting until you find Drakkas (and even afterwards you will need him for melee most of the time!), and therefore you can lay-off the armor until you have finished casting all spells...

...so just give him the best armour (AC and Dex-boni!) you have and ignore the spell-failure!

Or just find the best robes, bracers, etc. and dress the spellsword like a regular ol' mage ... and then buff'em up every time.

..tested both, but would prefer the armour (the armour way is slightly better, as you can keep the free slots for other non-armor related items) and btw. I needed the other stuff for the rest of my party...

That's the way I used to play my BG2 Fighter/Mage. :) Powerful character, that.
