Random Questions (spoilers welcome)

Post by Katoya »

What is the alignment of summoned creatures? I cast holy smite (I think that is right spell) on a dragon and I could not tell if it lead to the early demise of my summoned fodder…

Is there any randomness in hit points? When I level up there never seems to be any variation in hit points gained. I reload several times and it’s that same over and over. You know how much it sucks to only earn 1 hp per level up…

Thanks

After you reach 10th level, you gain a set amount of HP per level depending on your class as follows:
  • 1 for mages
  • 2 for rogues, clerics, and monks
  • 3 for fighters
Con bonuses no longer apply.

Summons have the same alignment as they would if you were fighting them, as alignment in the game is racial when it comes to creatures. So undead summons will be evil, and I think goblins and orcs etc. are too, where as things like animals will most likely be neutral, and things like celestial beings will have either a good or evil alignment depending on which you chose to summon (they are a HLA for clerics and Paladins I think). Demons will be evil, hence why you have to cast protection from evil before summoning them. Not sure which summons other than the celestial beings are actually good and unsure what alignment elementals are.

Cheers Mate. This helps clear things up.

Can anyone help me with my Jan recruitment problem? See other thread that I started for further details.

Thanks!
