@Des
Also, I don't post real information online as I don't want to be a target to internet-related threats
You are not a girl or a hamster, are you? :D But I agree with you. People expose themselves to all kind of problems by posting their private information, pictures, videos etc. I assume the motivation to post sensitive stuff varies. But it is one thing to chat about your occupation, interests, pets, and shaving habits, and another to post your nude pictures and description of your girlfriend's favorite position (Or even better, your girlfriend's nude pictures, without telling her). The former is a normal conversation; the latter is exhibitionism and sickness. And sometimes "professionalism".

I think everybody chooses whatever suits better, a virtual friendship or a 'real' one. There is the 'virtual sex" too. :rolleyes:

Oh, yeah, and I've almost forgotten about the "cybertwins"...

I am neither. Maybe a little bit like a hamster but not that much. :p Anyway, the reason why I don't post private (let alone accurate) information about myself is because many years ago, my internet account was hacked due to my carelessness. That's why I never post accurate information about myself nowadays (aside from hobbies, nationality and my birthdate, the rest are fake). Call me paranoid but it worked for me. :D
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
