Concentration is CC for Barbarians I think. So you can only gain them half as fast as a fighter. It will take a few more levels as barbarian before you can put points in it again, and even then you will only get 0.5 per point. On the other hand you hand. you can also just take another fighter level and put them in right away.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I only use prestige classes for multi class in D&D.

A character's low-cost access to skills is defined by its class(es). Any skill can be taken by any character - with the exception of Animal Empathy and Use Magic Device, both fairly useless - but skills not on that character's class list (called "cross-class" skills) will cost 2 skill points for 1 rank, as compared to a 1:1 for class skills. You also have a level-dependent cap on cross-class skills, just as you do for class skills, only half the size.

Fighters really get the short end of the stick when it comes to skills. IIRC, Concentration is a cross-class skill for Fighters and Barbarians, so it will cost you 8 points for 4 ranks. Wilderness Lore isn't bad for Barbarians, unless you already have a Ranger or Druid to cover that skill.

You can still take Concentration with a Ftr/Barb. If you nerfed Int and only get one skill point per level, you will have to save that spell point every second level up so you have 2 skill points to distribute every second level instead of 1 every level.

If your Ftr/Barb has high Con, which I'm assuming it does, it should have some ranks in Concentration already, corresponding to your Con bonus.

Remember though, when you level up, you need to spend all BUT ONE skill point. You can carry one over so that you have two on the next level-up (and can therefore increase Concentration with a low INT, non human Fighter/Barbarian).

Ahh right i didnt know you need 2 points to level it up, i also hadnt realised that you can carry poitns over to the next level, which was silly of me. Any way to get back the lost poitns that i put into useless skills? :P

Nothing in the game mechanics. You could edit your character using Dalekeeper II. However, I wouldn't worry too much about it. 4 ranks in Concentration isn't all that hard to get.

I know very little about it, as I don't use it. If I had it, I'd be tempted to cheat. :)

You could just keep going in your game. Or restart. You're probably at the Ice Temple, considering you have a lvl 9 Ftr/Barb, which isn't too far along. Skills aren't a critical part of the game for non-rogues, anyway - except for Concentration for spellcasters.
