Evasion Bug?
Evasion Bug?
I have a Fighter(4)/Rogue(3)/Barbarian(X (2 at the moment)) who I send in to tank while my casters fireball everything in sight. With three Rogue levels, she should have Evasion. But then... *points at screenshot*
Her Evasion seems not to be working. I'm sure it was before, I've been using this tactic since I got Fireball.. Anyone have any idea why?

Hehe, she started off as a Druid first time I played, and I always make characters faster than I can think up names, so I tend to recycle the names sometimes
And besides, if they're rolling around laughing at her name, it means they've got a -4 penalty to their reflex saves....... well, worth a try..
Just noticed something Odd about that Armour.. it stops all spell casting and ability use, which I only noticed when I bumped my Power Attack down with the Mace of Disruption.. kinda annoying, and rather stupid - it isn't cursed, so I can just pause, unequip, change power attack level and put it back on if I need toWraith[x] wrote:Just got the Black Dragon Scale from the Wandering Village.. same AC as the other armour I had, but +2 to Reflex throws, giving +17 unbuffed.. 95% evade vs my Fireballs unbuffed, not too shabby
Anyone know what property it is that does this? Is it some kind of Dragonscale property in DnD rules they forgot to mention in the description? Or am I just missing something really obvious..

The Mail of Life is an original IWD1 item that was not fully converted by BIS, but the ITM file was left in the game structure, along with 4-5 other old armors that were also not fully converted. The property that's hurting you is the old 2e rule that prevents spellcasting in most armors. The Mail of Life's ITM file has the effect within it that disables spellcasting while equipped and that also effects any innate spell-like abilities.
Unfortunately, these ~6 old armors were not fully converted when Wiemur included in his otherwise solid Ease of Use mod, which is just about certainly where you got this armor from.
I am currently working on a rather large IWD2 mod that has just so happens to include fixed versions of most of these armors, although not in the same places as the EoUse mod includes them. However, at the rate that I'm going, it'll probably be 2-6 weeks before I can complete the mod. I'm in the testing and tweaking phase right now.
If you are curious about my mod, head on over to the Boards O'Magick site and check out the IWD2 forum . And in particular, check out the thread titled "Status Report" for more info on my mod.
That's the answer, I guess. It's not the Mail of Life, that worked, it's the Black Dragon Scale that's giving the problems - but that's another EoU addition, from the Wandering VillageCrucis wrote:None of the above.
