Duplicate without Airlock etc. (SPOILER)

Post by sultanselim »

You can duplicate any item you can wear, anywhere in KOTORI&II.
(Not the ones concerning Airlock etc.)

Even at the start of the game, you just open inventory, and duplicate the items you like.

I found this with an instinctive trial, and the procedure is a bit complex.

For example you wear an armor.
You click once to change the armor, select another armor from inventory, press tab to change to inventory tab, select another item, return to character viewer, press esc...
Something similiar to this. (involving a bit more clicks)

Is this a known bug? Patched anywhere etc?

Couldn't honestly say, but would you mind posting the whole procedure? :mischief:

Been a loong time since I did that, and about a year since my last post :P

And I am really not in the mood to install the game again to try find out the procedure.

But I'll write as much as I remember.

First, you'll open your equipment screen, click on your breast(don't remember if you remove the armor first and stay without the armor), than select another armor in your inventory, than tab to inventory, than tab back to equipment screen, than you either press Esc, or press to the breast and than click Esc.

More or less, it was something like this.
If someone tries it, I'm sure he'll find the procedure shortly with this lead.

How come I discovered it? Er... instinctual bug-finding behaviour :P

Ok, I found the procedure in my old mails to a friend.

Here is how I did it:

Click on char A. Open equip screen.
Click on the armor (change).
Click None. (click once, not twice)

Than change to inventory screen from upper tabs.
Choose char B.
Return to equip screen.
Click on the armor (change). (Click once, not twice)
Go to inventory screen again.
Choose char A.
Go to equip screen.
Click on the armor (once) again.
Press ESC (the Esc key on the keyboard :P )

Than you'll see the armor of B appear in A's chest.

You'll have to save&load after the procedure, or the duplicated item disappears.

This works both in KoTor I & II, including the patches.

As I said, don't ask how I discovered it :P
Nothing with the code, instinctual bug-finding behavior while playing :}
