Abishai Hide ISNT Leather!?

According to its description...and the fact that its a hide... the Abishai Hide Armour should be leather. However, evasion doesnt work in it. Is it just bugged or is it actually not supposed to be leather?

No, Hide Armor is a different type of armor than Leather Armor. Hide is a Medium type of armor, while Leather is a Light armor.
