TotL and an Item

I have a couple questions. First, Ill let you know that my party is on its way to the endgame of HoW(in the 1st level of the sea of moving ice lair) and I plan on exporting my characters after the endfight, and doing Trials of the Luremaster. However, I remember a long time ago when I installed TotL, my game got bugged and I was unable to play completely, so I uninstalled. I think it was because of how I installed it. So could someone tell me where to install the stuff for TotL, and how? Thanks.

Also I noticed that on the walkthrough for HoW, that in the sea of moving ice island there was a Robe of Armor or something that was in the wrecked boat. PlanetBaldursGate - A Member of the GameSpy Network however when looked, there was nothing inside the boat. I kinda wanted a better robe for my mage, so could someone tell me the stats for the Robe of Armor since I missed out on it? Thanks.

Just execute the TotL patch, it should work fine unless you run out of disk space or turn off the computer.

As for the mage robe you missed:

One of the following items, given at random:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Namji's Robe (AC 5, Regenerates 1 hit point per round)
Robe of Armory(AC 3, +10% crushing, piercing, slashing, missile resistance

Nothing to bother, the AC3 robe you found in Malavon's lair or the robe of enfusing should be superior.

Alright thanks. By the way, before I go to the Luremaster place, should I use the blade of Aihonen there? It says that it only gives the better damage bonuses when in a dragonsflight distance of Lac Dinneshere, and I heard that Luremaster castle is way down in Anauroch. Do the Thac0 and other bonuses for the blade still have their effect?

Iirc you can use the blade there to it's full effect. The test you can make is if your character gets the extra hp. These come with the same restrictions.
