Fable freezes
I was just finishing up doing the silver key glitch at rose cottage, and I saved the game, it froze. I restarted my xbox(360), loaded it up, it was fine, until I exited from the Greatwood Cullis Gate to the greatwood caves, the game froze again...why is this?
I sprayed and cleaned it twice, but there are still some scratches

As what Cuchulain had mentioned, it's the hero save glitch that will cause a lot of problems. Try to load your previous save game (the one before you tried the hero save glitch). It might help. If not, then I'm afraid that you might have to start a new game. I've gone through this on the PC version before the first time I played this game.

It's more an exploit than a glitch, to be honest, but the reason why I call it a glitch is because of the fact that not only does it cause a lot of problems but also the fact that you can retain the stuff, experience points, etc. you collected in a failed mission.Assassin Reaper wrote:how is the hero save a glitch? I mean it is put in there and not secret or is it something else. I know this has been answered but I cant find it.

I dont really like it that much because it doesn't start you where you saved if you go to it it starts you at the begining of the quest or new area you entered. Like mostly I used it in the mission where you have to sneak around the bandits, though the first time i ever did it it was easy but when I did it for my friends and when I needed more items and exp i redid it but it seamed harder. the next cause I couldn't get past the first as easy. But yeah it doesnt work well.
games are fun and all but I was wondering when do you get a life?

The hero save trick is a good club to have in the bag, but it really needs to be used in moderation. I use it 3 or 4 times a game at most, and even then only for two reasons (spoilers?):
-Get an extra silver key or two at rose cottage, just incase I don't feel like dealing with books at the schoolhouse, and/or
-Do the age trick and have a young hero. But usually that is more trouble than it is worth.
I didn't mean to be a jerk with my previous post, but I thought that the hero save glitch and it's associated problems were pretty well documented.

i used that glitch to get 20 silver keys once (on xbox, not 360) and never had it freezemaybe another question, when did you buy your 360? when they came out? i did so and it froze a lot, maybe its a hardware problem, if you call microsoft, they usually give you a new one(they gave me a new one... ) because they now the first models contain various flaws. hope this helps....
Spoiler
got pretty rich too, taking stuff from the chest(and evil for destroying the plants)

My belief is that this Hero-Save 'glitch' is on purpose. At the bottom of page 2 in your Game booklet it talks about what I believe is the Hero-save glitch - it mentions accumulating items, and so on...I've attached a pic of page 2.
Also, this would make sense, since pretty much everything can be accumulated except for some rare cases like trying to get 2 Sword of Aeons using the 'glitch' - If it really was a glitch, it would probably work for everything - but the developers probably programmed it so that it wouldn't work with stuff like the Sword of Aeons, but work with everything else - and this for me further reinforces that it was deliberate.
You guys decide for yourselves - this is what I believe.
