Ninja Mask Question
Ninja Mask Question
I'm srry for this question but is it possible to change a helm(not important wich one) to look like a ninja mask?I can't seem to find one and finished the game 3 times now.Can anybody help me and tell me what to do? Thanks in advance.
You can buy a ninja mask/hat at the house of the dragon in Fargrove once you join their guild (by getting the dragon egg). I am not sure if that is what you are talking about though.
As far as changing one of the helms to make it look like a ninja hat, well that is more difficult. The helms themselves are in a format that is not easily changed. For example clothing is easy to change because it is in bmp form, so all you need is an image editor. To open the helm files one would need some sort of 3d modeling program (I think) such as Blender or gmax.
At any rate, changing the helms appearance is beyond the scope of just editing the image. Too bad, I would have liked to have done that myself.

I was just reviewing the treasure list (a notepad file in one of the DL folders) and apparently the ninja mask is about the only item you can't purchase, so sorry for the misinformation regarding purchasing it. Why this is so seems odd... but if you really want one I suppose you could edit one in.

It were possible to edit one in I would have done so already witht he complete ninja uniform.. But so far I have yet to find one in any of the editors or the code to put one in.. There also isn't one listed in any of the equipment lists on GB for any information on one... Funny tho looking through the Character folder each Char has eyes in the ninja mask.

Yes, they do. Every single character has a texture for if they wear this mysterious mask, which makes it all the more odd that it isn't available. I didn't realize that it couldn't be edited because I never bothered to edit in any of the ninja garb. Another weird thing to chalk up to DreamCatcher, I guess. *shrug*
One thing about helms to remember, is that they aren't flat to the body textures. They have 3 dimensions, just like shoulder armor. That is why you simply can't make one hat look like another...besides the fact that helmet textures aren't even available in any of the character folders. Outside of the ninja mask.
Even if you had access to the actual textures to change say, the color of a helm, you still would not be able to change the shape of it. So, if I was ever able to get the textures to change the color of the mage hat to give it the same color as a ninja mask, it is still going to look like a mage's hat NOT a ninja mask.
These are the actual 3D models of the ninja mask and the goblin warmask.
*edit* added in the mages hat as well. I use the Granny viewer I posted about in another thread to open these files. It gives a texture list, but they are files I don't have access to.

Code for ninja mask
If anyone out here knows where you can find the code for the ninja mask could you please post it here because those that use the editors could put the code in manually and end up with the ninja mask seeing as how there is a model for every character in the game. There is even an icon for it to appear in the equipment list... I just need the item code for the ninja mask.
