I think it say something about the fundamental interconnectedness of the personal "world-view" of a person, and how the written word conjures up visions of childhood, and insecurities driven by fear of the lack of ability to communicate, that must be expressed visually as the Id and super-ego of the writer is torn between the ghost wails of non-clear thinking, and the fervor and demand to be heard, to express, dammit, to be HUMAN.

Freud was half-right...the root of all problems is the human need to feel like they are more than the natural existance implies that you are...you know the eternal question "why are we here". Sex is a by-product of fulling that need. say what?

There could be more banal explanations - for example, I didn't know how to insert smilies until about my 20th post...maybe there's some subconscious reason I didn't actively seek to find out how to use them, who knows?

The only one I use even now is one that actually resembles me.
