Shivering Houses (SPOILER)
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to purchase a dwelling place in shivering isles? I've looked all over, but can't find one....although, that seems kind of, well, stupid, considering I am the duke of Dementia, and Sheogorath's Champion, and filthy stinking rich to boot.... Running back to Cyrodill every time I max out my inventory is a real pain in the arse, not to mention counter-productive...And did anyone else notice that, even though she is dead (in my game), the (former) Duchess of Dementia still has her name on the rooms past the private gardens? Arrg! Anywho, thanks for the info. BTW, in case I don't like the replies to this post, I'll be welcoming anyone who wishes to sign my petition for a patch from Bethesda to fix these housing situations.

If you're on a PC, why not simply use a house mod with a teleport ring? Then you can jump back and forth all you wish. This doesn't deal directly with the issue of a lack of houses--unless you want to kill the occupants of an existing one--but it does give you a place to stay and put your items.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Spoiler (maybe):
Remember the NPC that was murdered in his house during Paranoia quest? There is a chest upstairs where you found the "evidence". You can try to store your stuff in there. I don't think it would disappear.
