Question - placing items

I cannot figure out how to 'place' items on shelves or in bookcases, ect. I've tried for atleast an hour, lol. Is there a way to do this without simply dropping the item?

do you have pc or 360 version? if pc then hold z while pointing to object idont know if there is a button on 360 for this but there should be

Aslo, another question- Kinda dumb one, but... What spell is it that deflects magic/physical damage back at the caster/attacker?

probably absorb or dispell no clue what that one does but for xbo you hold l button not TRIGGER BUTTON lol

on the placing objects question i have just found there is a button on 360 for this but i still dont know what it is

You could try using the telekinesis spell. It allows you to lift things of the ground and move them around them place them almost wherever you want. You have to drop the item from you inventory first ofcourse, then when its on the floor you cast the spell on it and move it around. Hope that helps.
