Shadow Ruins guardian section - HELP!

Post by Biglifta »

Don't ask me how I've ended up there... I have no idea...!

Right... here's the problem... I'm in an oval shaped room (which, according to the walkthrough which I've finally had to resort to, is called the guardian section). There are indeed three static Athena guardians in front of me. Here's the problem though... Where there is one shadow portal (that I just entered the room from) the remaining three portals seem to be suspiciously vacant of the blue black smoke stuff... I've spent hours (quite literally) running round and round trying to figure out what to do.

The guardians remain static, the three remaining portals don't do anything when I walk into them and I'm getting a bit tired of fighting off hoardes of assorted beasties just to fill the time and build up my experience points.

I have tried going back through the portal I came through but end up back on the odd floating 'purple islands' (assuming that's supposed to be the nether world) doing various lefts and rights and always ending up back in the occursed 'gurdian section'.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong or need to be doing as it's driving me up the wall?

Cheers!

You're supposed to go to the purple islands. While you're there, you should look for a chest with a shadow stone inside of it. You can use the stone to activate one of the guardian statues, which in turn will cause a new portal to appear. The chests can be hard to spot, but the walkthrough gives you directions to them.
