Mysterious level 40

Post by Lemac »

Hello Forum,

I have a question about getting to level 40 if at the end of the NWN game you finish at level 16-20? How do I get to be level 40? Also I got bored and decided to triple class (thief, Druid, Wizard....hey why not :) Anyways how do I get to have all three of these classes hit the level 40 for the truely bad Elf?

Thanks,

Lemac

Ehh, level 40 is the max level, meaning having each of those three classes at level 40 is impossible.

To be level 40, you need to have Hordes of the Underdark the expansionpack, otherwise it's not possible to go into epic levels.
Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.
It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

Thanks

Thanks for the help and sorry to as some weird questions but, I do have hordes and shadows, so is it possible to get all three classes to level 40 then? also I have heard that once you beat the game you can start back at the VERY beginning with your character starting the game with the last level he ended the game with, is this possible? (sort of like Baulders gate 2 on X-box.

Thanks,

You can only gain level 40 as a character not per class. In other words the total of the levels of each of the classes can only add to 40. Luckily though you can make many characters and experiment with many different combinations.

As to the one you are making...it'll be a hard one to do. Might be fun though. Try druid/rogue/shadow dancer.

You need to differentiate between the Character levels and the Class level.
A Character level can be maximum 40, and is compromised by the sum of your Class levels.
Thus A L5 fighter/L4 Wizard / L1 Bard would thus be a L10 character.

Also note that the 40 is the maximum, and you'll not attain that in the game without playing through (many) multiple times. The level was created mainly for the multiplayer support it would add.
When I played through NWN + SoU + HOTU with the same character (export/import) - I reached around L28 as highest.
So is still a long way to L40.

If you really want to achieve level 40 as was stated previously you will have to go back and replay several times with the same character. As I recall though once you have completed the campaigns you can pick and choose where you go back to. This is important because you can skip the beginnings where the foes are weak and the XP's are harder to accumulate.

The only way I've been able to get to 40 in HotU is by cheating. Somewhere between 25 and 30 is most common (and 30 takes a lot of work).

Hello...i m at the end of second chapter of HOU atm with the same char i finished the original game and the first expansion and my lvl is 27 (fighter 11,wizzard 1,arcane archer 15)...Though i dont like cheating,i have done a lot of exp exploits to be that high lvl allready...Many creatures like the vampires in HOU (chapter 2,crypts) respawned unlimited times till i stabbed their coffins and other creatures too...Since i allready finished the game before,i know there r some more lvls to gain. The only problem is that i m really overpowered, and only 2 enemys so far were a problem : the demilich and bebilith..Cant wait to face mephistopheles :D
