Baldur's Gate Voices

I wanted to re-play Icewind Dale II seeing as how I have finished Throne of Bhaal, and I would really like to carry on my 'quest' with the same party that I did in ToB. I have already taken the custom portraits into the IWD files, but I think that I would miss the great voices of Jaheira and Minsc... I think that Sarevok's actor provides a voice for one the selections, Viconia I can live with using the drow female, and also the main voice actor that I used in ToB for my main character Moran is also featured in IWD II. Though I can't seem get over the fact that I can't have Jaheira and Minsc adding to their cries of pain, or movements. Is there a way to transport the sound files for the Baldur's Gate II voices, if not all of them... into IWD II files?

I'm not sure if this will work as I've never tried it, but you could try playing the sound files in the sounds folder in the bg2 directory and then transfering the desired ones to the sounds folder in the iwd2 directory. You may need to replace the original voice files with the ones you desire, and change the names of the new files to those that were replaced so that you have effectively just changed the sounds of the existing voice options in the character creation screen.

Thanks dude for your help... however, I looked into the sounds folder, and they were all labelled as female this and male that, so there was no way to tell which was which. I also tried to play them one by one, but my windows media player couldnt play them, saying that the files were either corrupt or unplayable with the player... meh... thanks anyways though.

Sorcerer's Place - Icewind Dale 2 Soundsets

It has some, but not all, soundsets of various characters from BG and BG2 in IWD2 format.

The voice-over actor (I can't remember his name, but you could find it on Interenet Movie Database (IMDb) website under Balder's Gate 2) that does Jan Jansen in BG2 is the one that does the voice of Oswald Fiddlebender in IWD2 "and" does one of the male PC voices (male bard IIRC) as well. I keep thinking of Jan when I hear this PC speak.
