Recruiting Keldorn (help please)

Post by WanderingIvie »

Keldorn's always been one of my favorite NPCs (plus Carsomyr is amazing), but my disk 3 was damaged and my computer freezes everytime I try to go to the temple district.

I can get into some of the temple district's buildings (Temple of Helm, Sewers, etc.) using console commands, but he doesn't show up.

Does anyone know of a way to make the cult quest trigger without going into the temple district? (Or to get me into the temple district, though I suspect that's impossible.)

I hate to make this suggestion but it's worth bringing up. Baldur's Gate has come out with an Anniversary edition, which contains Baldur's Gate 1, Baldur's Gate 2 and Throne of Bhaal - It might even contain more though I'm not sure.

It's also pretty cheap.
Warning: logic and sense is replaced by typos and errors after 11pm
Spoiler
, it has yet to return

To recruit Keldorn, you should first accept the quest "The unseeing eye". The kickoff for this quest is in the mainarea.
You could try to clua in Keldorn look in the stickys for the clua thread for the how.

You know, I don't think that "cheating" Keldorn in is a good solution for you... Who knows what other problems you're going to have with your damaged disc? Keldorn can only be a start... It's better to get a valid disc, IMO, and avoid irritation. If you can buy it reasonably cheap... ?
Kitchen Witchcraft : Of Magic and Macaroni - a blog about, well, a witch in the kitchen.

The Pale Mansion : My e-published lovecraftian novella! You should totally check it out!

I've played it a few times through, and Temple District's the only area that gives me any problems. Still, I might get the anniversary edition. I just wanted to know if there was some simple solution, thanks. :)
