Riki is the person that teaches you how to make virulent sleeping agent to get rid of the guards. You can shop at Riki afterwards.
Riki sells an Arc of Cold. and sells many Arrow/Bolt/Bullets +5. Twenty shots of arrows+5 costs about $20k. Twenty shots of bolt+5 and bullet+5 cost the same amount. I had about $1000k when I was at Riki. That means I should only be allowed to buy 50 sets of 20 arrows of one kind. That makes it 1000 arrow/bolt/bullet IN TOTAL.
But I was able to end up with 4k bolts+5, 6k arrows+5, and 2k bullets+5. And I STILL have money to buy more.
Apparently the game displays the correct amount that I should pay on the bottom left corner. But when I click 'buy', only a very small portion of the amount that I should pay is deducted from my total amount of gold on the upper right corner. Im not sure if this bug exists with other merchants or other products in other parts of the game. but this is the only time i noticed this.
Interesting, heh?
I have 2 other questions but I dont want to create separate posts. Here here they are:
2. I have a 6-member party and I just finished normal. I kinda want to go through HOF with a 4-member party now. I want to create new characters and use dalekeeper 2 to level the 4-member party up so that they are competent enough for HOF. But Im not sure how many levels I should give to the members in this 4-member party, which are 'supposedly' a party that has just finished normal, but I dont want to cheat and give them higher levels. can someone shed some light on this?
3. In this 4-member party i'll probably include a character that uses ranged weapon only (because they are so fun to play!, not because they are so powerful), and give them weapon finesse/ambi/two weapon fighting if melee is necessary. but I have no idea what class/race this person should be. I need 4 levels in fighter for weapon specialization. but other than these 4 levels, the rest of the levels seem completely arbitrary! It seems the best option is to pick any of Paladin/Ranger/Fighter/Barbarian for the high BAB to complement the bows, and mix in some rogue level for fast evasion and possibly monk for fast movement. Any suggestions?
4. When do paladin/rangers obtain their spells? ..the manual is blatantly wrong on this. 4th level for first level spells, what about the rest of the levels?
bug in game? Riki at Severed Hand. [not spoiler but possible cheat?]
2. average party level just below 17. But it's more fun starting with lower level characters. A level 5 party shouldn't have serious problems in the prologue (animate dead !) and get enourmous XP, allowing them to reach high levels fast.
If your avarage party level is lower than 4 you get 3,600 XP per goblin.
3. 15 or more paladin levels will add the "holy power" spell while ranger levels will increase the damage vs favored enemies and allow some summoning spells which are very useful in HoF mode.
4. The manual appears to be correct regarding this. Why do you think it's wrong ?

oh. thanks.
i have a 6-member party now and the ECL=0 classes are at level 17. i was asking what level a 4-member party would reach by the end of normal. i guess i wasn't entirely clear on that.
another question. what happens when some character of the party reaches level 30 when another character is only, say, level 15. would all the xp go to the lower level character or is xp going to add to the level 30 character meaninglessly..?

A party of 4 reaches the same average party level as a party of 6, because of the dynamic XP calculation. Once you reach an average party level of 16 you hardly gain any fighting XP any more, even the Slayer Knights give 0 XP then.
2. XP should be distributed evenly among your characters, levels don'
t matter.
