Multiplayer?

I've noticed that the last couple of unofficial patches have included updates to the multiplayer game. Now I've never heard of multiplayer Bloodlines, couldn't find anything on google, and installing the patch didn't add a multiplayer option to the main menu. So is there a multiplayer version of Bloodlines, or am I being dense? And if it does exist, what does it involve and how do I access it?

It's all in the readme below the changelog. I haven't tested it myself and it is initiated via the console but the guy providing the cfgs claimed it is working.
